1. So! How'd you get into Pop'n Music anyways?
I noticed the four Pop'n songs on DDR Extreme, and decided to do some research on "the poor game that only has four songs on there." I eventually found the official websites and fell in love with the music samples (11 onwards.) In September 2004 I was at a local DDR tournament where many Bemani games were set up, Pop'n being one of them. I had been very interested in it and wanted to try it, so I did. I was hooked. I got it for Christmas of that year and I've been playing ever since (around 3 1/2 years.)

2. Who's your all time favorite character?
Kagome (first I ever used!)

3. Pop'n Music has tons of characters. For fun, try and name all your favorites!
Kagome, Shoko, all Asaki characters, Hannes, ?, Sigma, Ayumu, Murasaki, Nakaji, Sayuri, Sanae-chan (my pseudonym!)

4. Do you have a/any favorite pairing(s)?
Sayuri/Nakaji, botsu (rejected designs) character pairings for Ichinomyou, Onnanoko/that other guy.

5. Have you ever seen any pairings that simply made you say "WTF"?
Tsubaki/Goku, Nakaji/Nickey, Nakaji/Sao Paolo Yoko. (lolwut)

6. Are there any characters that you just can't stand?
Sao Paolo Yoko, Berry, Nickey.

7. What's your favorite song?
I have several. Shizuku, Egoist (from 10 CS), World Spider Web, Ringo to Hachimitsu, Shiawase wo Utau Uta, Samshir's Dance, Fragments.

And I think R&B&M is trying to trick me into putting me on this list, because it's WAY TOO CATCHY. (donpan dondonpaan~!)

8. Who are your favorite artists?
ASAKI. <3

also Zektbach.

9. Have you ever really played Pop'n Music? There are lots of fans who have never played it, after all.
Yes I have, at the aforementioned DDR tournament as a wee lass - and I still play it now (I own 9-14 CS, excluding 11 for reasons unknown.) My 12 and 14 CS copies are limited edition.

10. Random, but do any of your family or friends know about Pop'n Music?
Yes. The people I showed it to got hooked. My mom has learned to put up with it.

11. Tell us a funny story that happened to you or someone you know concerning Pop'n Music if you don't mind!
At my mother's birthday party, me and some friends played 13 CS while hopped up on various sodas. The kicker? One named Danielle played Chicken Heart about 20 times IN SUCCESSION. It's still on top of the My Best list O____o

12. What do you do to express your fandom?
Draw. Some of my poetry is Pop'n inspired, too.

13. Is there a Pop'n Music product that you've always wanted?
Kagome keychain. An Ichinomyou pin (shown in Pop'n chara book #2) would be awesome as well.

14. Is there anything about Pop'n Music that you have ever discovered that you found to be amusing or just surprising?
Its original design as a couple's game. I wonder how two lovebirds-to-be would feel trying to hook up playing a Hell course (or anything on any other mode other than 5-line.)

The first-ever nugget of Asaki wisdom, or at least one of them.

I saw it in StreyCat's signature. I've been wondering where Asaki-sama said that...

Tentei is Asaki's other song in Pop'n Music 15. Its like horror type piano music (and my eye icon is part of its character)

Tsubame was horribly strange, and tentei is just horrifying without Asaki's godly voice.

It's a little distorted, so it's hard to tell. Yeah, it still doesn't sound like him. A little more like Asaki but far from it. I'm still wondering.

Asaki composes and arranges for Rotten Blotch. Raj sings for Micro Fin, but the vocalist in Deadman's Bed sounds a bit different...as if Asaki helped out. I don't know if Raj was involved in Deadman's Bed, since it sounds a little distorted in parts. To be fair, I'd call it a joint project between them.

I love Asaki's new song too! It's nice to hear something refreshing from him, because Tsubame struck me as a little strange.
